OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: GOVERNOR ABDULRAHMAN PROCURES MOTOR BIKES FOR KWARTMA

The Kwara State government has presented Ten brand new operational Motorcycles to Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) for improved traffic management in the State.  

While presenting the motorcycles on behalf of the Governor, the Acting Head of Service and Permanent Secretary, Training, Pension and Establishment, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed charged the Authority to utilize the motorcycles for the purpose they are meant for. He described Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq as a leader who takes safety of lives and property as priority.

In his appreciative remark, the Ag. Chief Executive Officer of KWARTMA, Engr. Bamidele Michael expressed his gratitude to His Execellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for the gesture, adding that it will boost the response time of the agency interns of emergencies.He also commended the Governor for his unwavering supports to KWARTMA, having presented 3 brand new operational vehicles to the Authority in 2023.

Engr. Bamidele applauded the Governor for the rehabilitation and construction of roads and flyover bridges in Ilorin metropolis.This according to him will enhance free flow of traffic and attracts potential investors into the state.


"The motorcycles will enhance the authority to expand its tentacles and scope of operation, making KWARTMA to be more responsive" said the Ag.CEO.

The Ten Brand new operational Motorcycles were customized in KWARTMA brand and accompanied with branded safety helmets.

Kwara to employ 1,800 new senior class teachers

• to prioritise STEM subjects, rural areas • ⁠applicants will write CBT, undergo drug tests Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved a request of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) to hire 1,800 teachers, 100 non-teaching staff, and 200 security guards to promote safer school environment.  The hires are for the senior secondary schools across the state, with emphasis on the rural areas where teachers are lacking.  TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar said in a statement that application links will soon be released.  “All applicants will have to apply online.
