KWSG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICE

 The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the Primary Health Care Facilities across the sixteen Local Government Areas, provide quality health care services at affordable rates to the less privileged groups and other residents in the State. 

The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu, disclosed this recently at Asa Local Government Area, while conducting a focused Nutrition supportive supervision across five Local Government Areas of the state.

The focused Nutrition supportive supervision was conducted in Asa, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Ekiti and Offa LGAs of the State. 

The Executive Secretary explained that the aim of the focused Nutrition supportive supervision in some selected LGAs is to access the activities of Primary Health Care Centres and to confirm if the selected facilities are providing nutrition interventions to prevent malnutrition in under 5 years children and pregnant women in the communities. 

 Dr. Elelu noted that the Nutrition supportive supervision is also aimed at working with health workers to set goals, monitor their performances, identify and correct problems, which will go a long way to improve the quality of services.

She added that the present administration's huge investments in the health sector cannot be overemphasized, stating that it will continue to yield positive results at ensuring that quality health care services are available at affordable rates.

Dr. Elelu commended the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his laudable achievements in the health sector, especially, at the Primary Health Care Development Agency, for prioritising access to quality health care services as well as renovating health facilities across the state. 

In his remarks, the State Nutrition Officer, Dr. Gbenga Bankole, explained that the objective of the focused Nutrition supportive supervision is to build the capacity of health care workers in order to provide the necessary nutrition support to the communities.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
