KWSG Commissions Another Newly Renovated PHC at Alapa

In yet another laudable stride to further improve the quality of health care delivery for citizens, the Kwara State Government today commissioned the newly renovated Primary Health Care Centre at Alapa Town in Asa Local Government Area of the State. 

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam in her remarks at the commissioning urged the people of Alapa Town and its environs to compliment Government’s gesture by owning and protecting the facility. 

The Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Hajia Afusat Adenike Ibrahim who represented the Commissioner, explained that the massive renovation of health centres across the State was borne out of the Government's concern about the health and well-being of its citizens 

According to her, "the State Government yesterday commissioned the Primary Health Care Centre at Ago Oja, and today we are commissioning yet another one at the Alapa Primary Health Care Centre, by the special grace of God, we shall also commission another one on Monday,” she said. 

Dr El-lmam urged the people of Alapa to continue to support the health care agenda of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq by patronizing and safe guarding the facility for quality health care service delivery.

The Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman of Asa Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Saadu Atebise who expressed gratitude to the State Government for the renovation, enumerated the massive role of PHCs in improving the quality of health care at the grass roots.

Alhaji Atebise enjoined health workers in the facility to ensure patients receive adequate care to justify Government's huge investment in the health sector. 

Also speaking at the ceremony, the community leader in Owode Onire Constituency, Engr Musa Ayinla Yeketi, commended the good work of the present administration and expressed the gratitude of the people of Asa for the kind gesture.

The event was attended by relevant stakeholders, including Directors of the State Ministry of Health, Magaji Are of Ilorin, Alhaji Zubair Aremu, the Former Commissioner of Agriculture, Hon. Abdulateef Alakawa, among others.
