KWSG Commences Clubfoot Treatment and Management

The Kwara State Government in Partnership with the Health Advocacy Development, "PLAN Foundation" has launched a special intervention programme on clubfoot treatment and management. 

The State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-lmam made this known during the engagement meeting with the PLAN Foundation at the Ministry’s headquarters, Fate road, Ilorin. 

Dr El-Imam said the commitment of the State Government to strengthening health care service delivery in all areas, keeps endearing and attracting development partners to the State.

She then appreciated the new partner for choosing Kwara for the project, describing it as a welcome development with assurance of an enabling environment for quality performance.

Clubfoot is a birth defect in which the foot or feet of a baby is twisted out of shape or position.
The cause of clubfoot is unknown. Babies with clubfoot are usually otherwise healthy.

In her address, the Executive Director, PLAN Health Advocacy and Foundation, Dr Esse harped on the need to urgently start the clubfoot clinical management in Kwara State.

Dr Esse Nwakanma said their Organization was ready to partner with the State Government to treat and manage clubfoot patients for five years.

She thereafter thanked the State Government for the warm reception and assured of their maximum commitment to the partnership.

In attendance were the Permanent Secretary of Kwara State Ministry of Health, Alhaja Afusat Adenike Ibrahim, and all Directors of the Ministry, CMD Kwara State University Teaching Hospital Ilorin, Dr Bola Ahmed, and other development partners for Kwara State.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
