KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Government launched the Kwapreneur program as a strategic effort to empower industrious and innovative young entrepreneurs across the state.

Established in December 2019, KWASSIP is committed to combating extreme poverty and enhancing financial inclusion among underserved populations in Kwara State. Over the years, various components of KWASSIP, such as Owo Isowo, Owo Arugbo, support for skilled and unskilled workers, and household support programs, have positively impacted tens of thousands of Kwarans.

The Ag. General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr. Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka, highlighted the remarkable success of Kwapreneur 4.0, where 367 entrepreneurs received financial support totaling ₦229,565,000. He emphasized the program's ongoing commitment to fostering microeconomic growth and job creation through Kwapreneur 5.0.

"The application portal for Kwapreneur 5.0 will be open for 30 days, from May 20, 2024, to June 19, 2024. We encourage all prospective applicants to submit their business plans during this period," said Dr. Tejidini. "This is a fantastic opportunity for small business owners in Kwara State to benefit from the support and resources provided by His Excellency The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. We will release the application link and provide regular updates throughout the application process."

Dr. Tejidini noted that numerous micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have greatly benefited from this initiative, which is a testament to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's dedication to economic development. "This program underscores the administration's commitment to making Kwara State a more prosperous place to live, invest, and work," he added.

Dr. Tejidini reiterated the administration's dedication to empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering sustainable economic growth. "With initiatives like Kwapreneur, Kwara State under the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is opening doors for our youths to excel and make meaningful contributions to the state's economy. I urge all eligible young entrepreneurs to take full advantage of this program," stated the Ag General Manager of KWASSIP.
