Kwara SUBEB holds promotion exam for staff, impressed with their conduct

Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KwSUBEB) at the weekend conducted an examination for its workforce, who are due for the 2022 promotion exercise in the state.

The examinees comprise teachers and non-teaching staff and those who are working at the Board’s headquarters.

The exercise, which took place across the examination centers in the sixteen local governments of the state, started at 9am.

The Executive Chairman of the Board, Prof Sheu Raheem Adaramaja, who monitored some of the centers in Ilorin, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and comportment of the candidates.

He was accompanied on the visit by the Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Rebecca Olarewaju Bake; and some other  principal officers of the agency.

Among the examination centers visited include St’ Bananas Junior Secondary School (JSS) in Ilorin South LG; United JSS Ilorin West; QUEEN Elizabeth JSS Ilorin
East; Amule JSS Ilorin East; Shao LGEA School Shao (Moro LG); Afon LGEA School in Asa LG; and the examination center at the Board’s headquarters, Ilorin respectively.

“I am quite impressed with what I have seen so far. The turnout of the candidates is expectedly fine, and none of them has been seen or caught in wrongdoing. I believe we will get the same result in other examination centers where other monitoring teams have gone,” the Chairman told reporters at one of the centers.

Adaramaja thanked the state government for granting the Board an approval to conduct a promotion exercise for the 2022 category of its staff, and other support being given to the office to excel.
