... Govt to flag-off HPV Vaccination in the State

The Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, today received the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Representatives, UNICEF Representatives and other partners in her office ahead of the flag-off of the HPV Vaccination in the State. 

The WHO Country Representative, Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo, in his remarks, commended Kwara's efforts in combating diseases, particularly highlighting the State's proactive stance on the prevention of cervical cancer. 

Expressing a keen interest in understanding the strategies behind Kwara's success in the Health sector, especially on the outbreak of diseases control response, Dr. Mulombo emphasized the importance of vigilance in disease eradication programs and called for strengthened partnerships to address challenges effectively.

The United Nation Children Fund (UNICEF) representative, Dr. Eduorado Celades Blanco while intimating the Commissioner on his organization’s plans in the State, outlined key objectives focusing on newborn and family planning policies, alongside capacity building at the local government level. 

He revealed UNICEF’s goal to reach one million women and two million children annually in the State and pledged his organization’s support towards enhancing the quality of primary healthcare services, particularly in newborn care.

Dr. Eduorado expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the State's receptiveness and the shared commitment to ensuring the success of these initiatives.

Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam while speaking, reiterated the significance of the partners support in enhancing capacity building, training, and leadership development in the State. 

While emphasizing Kwara's commitment to providing affordable healthcare services, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam lauded the efforts of the Executive Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his passionate efforts in bringing affordable and accessible health care to all Kwarans. 

Dr El-Imam underscored the need for continued integration and impactful initiatives to improve the well-being of residents in the State.

As Nigeria continues to make strides in healthcare, Kwara State stands as a beacon of progress, guided by the collective efforts of its global health partners.

The objectives of the collaborative efforts between Kwara State, WHO, and UNICEF are to implement ambitious projects, including improving electronic records of patients and data management systems, among others.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Government launched the Kwapreneur program as a strategic effort to empower industrious and innovative young entrepreneurs across the state. Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
