KWSG Moves to Surmount Challenges on Emergency Matters

In a more proactive move to address challenges associated with the management of health care emergencies, Kwara State Government has assured that, health care system will be better equipped , to combat challenging situations, especially on matters of emergencies, henceforth. 

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam stated this, in Ilorin, during the week at the third bimonthly meeting, held by members of the State Project Steering Committee (SPSC), at the board room of the Ministry.

The Health Commissioner, who is also the Chairperson for the committee, noted that this administration's commitment to health care, under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), is highly commendable, adding that: "Kwara State Ministry of Health, is assiduously implementing the stipulated activities and training under the COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Project (CoPREP) in conjunction with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC)."

Dr. El-Imam equally commended the cooperation enjoyed from the collaborating Ministries, in the state, which has enabled her ministry to accomplish it's mandates, in the health sector. 

She therefore thanked members of the Committee, for their efforts at improving on their rolls, to complement Government efforts at ensuring a good health service delivery, to the good people of Kwara State.

The Commissioner gave kudos to the State Coordinator of World Health Organization, Dr Emanuel Eyitayo for WHO's readiness to further partner with the State, on Emergency situations, whenever the need arises.

Earlier the Project Coordinator of CoPREP, Dr. Khadijat Kamaldeen, had highlighted the various levels of trainings undertaken, to equip health workers in the State, such as reinforcement of the surveillance and epidemiology team, infection prevention, as well as gender related trainings, sensitization and advocacy amongst others.

Some of the members of SPSC in attendance include: the state Commissioner for Water Resources, Mallam Usman Yunusa Lade, his counterpart from Communications Ministry, Mrs Bolanle Olukoju, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mallam Yahyah Muhammad, Director, Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Michael Oguntoye, and other members of the State Project implementation unit.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
