KWSG TO FORMULATE ELECTRICITY MARKET POLICY

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to offering long-lasting solutions to the declining electricity supply, seeking synergy with Dapik Energy to formulate electricity market policy that will enhance economic growth, foster the development of human capital and create enabling environment for businesses and future investors in the State.

The Commissioner for Energy, Engr. AbdulAzeez Kola AbdulGaniy stated this today during a proposal presentation by Dapik Energy at the Ministry’s Conference Hall. 

Engr. AbdulGaniy said “We are ready to partner with you because we want a Kwara with a sustainable power market that will enable investors to come in order to create more employment opportunities and improve human capital development.“

In their remarks, the Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Alhaji Hassan Taiye Afodun and the Director Electrical Engineering, Engr. Anthony Ayodeji Alago, appreciated the Chief Executive Officer, Dapik Energy, Mr. Dapo Adedoyin, for the innovative presentation which will enable Kwara State to have a sustainable energy market that will increase the revenue generation of the State.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, Dapik Energy, Mr. Dapo Adedoyin, said “We want to develop Kwara State Electricity Market Policy, which will give us capabilities to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the State through access to natural gas."


"This is in line with the 2023 Electricity Bill that was signed into law by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which gives the State the power to generate, transmit and distribute electricity for improved development", Mr. Adedoyin added. 

He therefore called for collaboration with the Federal Electrification Agency (FEA), Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Distribution Companies and other stakeholders in the energy sector.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
