Abolore-Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development Assumes Office

The newly appointed Commissioner
for the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore has assumed duty today, Tuesday, 30th April, 2024 a day after he was sworn-in by His Excellency, Mallam Abdurahman Abdulrazaq (CON), the Executive Governor of Kwara State and the Chairman, Nigeria Governors' Forum. 

The Commissioner promised to reposition the Ministry by ensuring that the relevant legislations being processed are pushed for necessary legislative passage and approvals in no distant time. 

Abolore reiterated that having relevant mining laws and their implementation in place becomes very critical to the smooth operations and effective running of the sector at the subnational levels. 

Dr. Abolore who thanked the Management Staff for the warm reception accorded him, encouraged them to always work collectively towards achieving positive results in the overall interest of the Ministry in particular and the State at large. He also sought for the support and cooperation of every staff by working as a team for efficient service delivery. 

Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi in his final submission, expressed his readiness to work very closely with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, relevant agencies, committees and stakeholders through effective collaboration and innovation approaches.

Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Tpl. Isiaq Yinka Olokooba called on the Management Staff of the Ministry to give their maximum support to the new Commissioner in order to jointly
achieve the mandate of the Ministry.

The maiden meeting was attended by directors and other principal Officers of the Ministry.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
