The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has formally inaugurated a new board of the State Muslim Pilgrims’ Board, with a charge on members to serve with integrity and honesty.

The inauguration ceremony for the Chairman and members of the Board was held today at the Deputy Governor's office, Ilorin.

Represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, the Governor said that members of the board were appointed based on public trust. He expressed confidence that they would deliver beyond expectations knowing the enormity of the task before them.

Governor AbdulRazaq urged the newly inaugurated members of the Muslim Pilgrims' Board to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the execution of the important public service that have been assigned to them.

He also enjoined them to see their new assignment as an act of worship as they are expected to not only endure the many realities of serving diverse people with varying values and needs, but to also ensure the overall welfare of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Responding, the new Chairman of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board, Prof. Mashood Jimba appreciated the government for the rare opportunity to serve the State.

He said that although the assignment before them is enormous, they were ready to put everything into making it work and protecting the name of the government and people of the State.
