KWSG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO IMPROVING REVENUE GENERATION

...Completes Sugar Factory and Film Studios.

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to boosting revenue generation by giving room to experts to explore the newly completed Sugar Factory and Film Studios in the State.

The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, disclosed this yesterday while receiving a seasonal Film Producer, who is the Managing Director, Pyramid Game, Mr. Gbados Matins, in her office.

The Commissioner revealed that the State Government has invested a lot in creating standard facilities to expand the economic base of the State.

Speaking on the huge capital investments made in both the Sugar Factory and Film Studios, Hon. Damilola explained that the Film Studios will promote social cultural heritage of the State, adding that the film factory will enable high quality movie production even though the Nigeria Music Industry has dominated the world.

She noted that this feat will transform the Nollywood/Kannywood from videos to cinematography.

"This project will improve quality production and meet international standards", she stated.

The Commissioner enjoined the producer to make adequate use of the facilities, stressing that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration is changing the narrative of the State from being a Civil Service State to an industrial/business-oriented State.

Hon. Damilola highlighted other capital projects that are ongoing such as the construction of ITC Innovation HUB, Garment Factory, International Conference Centre, Sheanut Processing Centre at Kaiama, and complete rehabilitation of Kwara Hotel.

Earlier, the Managing Director, Pyramid Game, Mr. Gbados Matins, commended the efforts of the State government on the numerous capital projects in Kwara State.

Mr. Matins also appreciated the reception accorded to him and his entourage by the Ministry, accepting that Kwara State is indeed the State of Harmony.

He further stated that the facilities are quite standard, while promising to do more film businesses in Kwara State.
