 The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, has expressed her ministry's readiness to forge a robust partnership aimed at enhancing public awareness about the crucial activities of state-owned security agencies.

Olukoju expressed this commitment during an official visit to the Kwara State Fire Service (KWSFS) as well as the Kwara State Road and Transport Management Agency (KWARTMA) Headquarters in Ilorin, the State Capital.

Olukoju engaged in fruitful discussions with the heads of both government agencies, exploring avenues for joint initiatives to educate the public, about their respective functions.

Emphasizing on the importance of transparent communication, Olukoju affirmed that her ministry would adequately disseminate the agencies' activities to the public, using both electronic and print media.

"We are keen on strengthening the channels of communication between your agencies and the public, by ensuring understanding and awareness, we will be contributing immensely to safer communities and more informed citizens," she stated.

She however disclosed the areas the agencies will be collaborating on, including; "Public sensitization campaigns your activities and emergency response and traffic rules, using various communication channels such as social media, mass media, and public orientation. For instance, you will be invited to make appearances on Network Kwara, the Ministy's sponsored TV Programme on KwaraTv, to enable you further inform the general public about your activities"

Addressing the purpose of the partnership, Olukoju said "it is aimed at making the general public aware of the functions of the Fire Service and KWARTMA, to ensure that Kwarans are well-informed about emergency response measures, especially during the harmattan season and traffic information, particularly due to the massive ongoing road construction within the state.

Responding, the Director of State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, appreciated the Commissioner for the visit and assured her of the agency's readiness to key into the partnership extended to them.

In the same vein, the Acting Managing Director of KWARTMA, CRTO AbdulHakeem Adegboye, thanked the Commissioner for the visit while also highlighting areas of the Agency's strengths and where government's supports are needed.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
