KWSG COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION OF NYSC CAMP GATEHOUSE AND PERIMETER FENCING, INSPECTS PROGRESS ON WORK

The Kwara State Government has commenced the construction of the gatehouse and perimeter fencing at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in its efforts to ensure a safe and hazard-free environment for Youth Corps members and staff of the NYSC on camp.
The Commissioner overseeing the Ministry of Youth Development, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade led other management of the Ministry to inspect the ongoing construction of the perimeter fencing and gatehouse at the NYSC camp at Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area, today.
The Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his maximum support to the construction at the camp, for giving the camp a facelift, and providing adequate security for the lives of Corps members and NYSC staff at the venue.
Hon. Yunusa emphasized that the construction of the perimeter fencing and gatehouse, when completed, will keep the camp off-limits to outsiders and intruders.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Abdulrasak Alabere, assured the State Coordinator of the NYSC Governing Board's unwavering backing and moral support.
Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa Joshua, while giving the Commissioner a tour of the perimeter fencing acknowledged the essence of the construction as a total revamping of the camp.
He commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his continuous support and further admitted the fact that the government is indeed ready to improve the standard of the orientation camp as obtained in other states, requesting for more support from the state government.
