KWSG ASSURES NITP, ESV of PARTNERSHIP

Kwara State Government has again assured the State Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Town Planners and Estate Valuers in the state of it's readiness to partner with them, for the progress and development of the Agency and Kwara State at large.

The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Goegraphic Information Service (KW-GIS), ESV Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman, gave this assurance during the week, when members of the Institute paid him a courtesy visit in his GRA office, Ilorin, the State Capital.

Sulyman further assured them that, KW-GIS would continue to work with the Institute and others who are partners in progress of both the Agency and the State, especially Institutions with common bound in the area of land related matters, adding that the State Chapter of the Institute has been enjoying cordial relationship with KW-GIS since its inception. 

He disclosed that the land reform which became necessary, when this administration under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq came on board and observed that in Ease of Doing Business (EDB), Kwara State was rated low, therefore, the Governor decided to reform land related matters in the State by creating Geographic Information Service (GIS).

While commending members of the Institute for the visit, Esv Sulyman callled for its support, cooperation and prayers for the Agency to succeed, adding that "if the Agency succeeds, the Institute and Institutions with Lands related matters also succeeds. More so that, one of them and home breed has been appointed to manage the Agency at this critical period."

 Sulyman however assured them that all issues raised will be given adequate consideration.

In her own contributions, the Administrative Secretary, Mrs Motunrayo Adaran, commended the Institute for the visit, adding that all issues raised has been duly noted and would be addressed accordingly.


Earlier on the purpose of visit, the Chairman of the Institute (NITP) State Chapter, TPL Bolakale Yusuf, who appreciated the warm reception from the Executive Chairman, within the short notice, said the visit was to formally congratulate the Executive Chairman on his appointment, describing it as well deserved and prayed that Allah guide and guard the new EC aright.

He commended the State Government for the land transformation, which he described as timely development, noting that the State Chapter of the Institute has been enjoying good relationship with the Agency.

While appealing to the Executive Chairman to quickly address the issue of Tax Clearance, Change of Use from Private to Commercial purpose, Files missing and most of all the synergy amongst the collapsed Agencies under the newly created KWGIS, TPL Yusuf noted that the New Master plan must be revisited and the Ease of Doing Business EOD must be duly allowed to operate at full capacity for the benefits of all in the State.

In the a related development, the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KWGIS) reiterated Government's readiness to support the newly Inducted Estate Surveyors and Valuers in the State, for overall interest of the State.


The Chairman, said this when the Young Estate Surveyor and Valuers paid him a courtesy visit during the week, in his office.

Sulyman said, much as the Agency has common bound and same objective with the Institute, he assured them of government's continual partnership, to take Kwara State to greater heights.

Responding, the team lead of the newly inductees State Coordinator, Esv. Oyinloye Eyitayo, congratulated the Executive Chairman on his new appointment and successes recorded so far in piloting the affairs of the Agency.

Eyitayo, then gave kudos to Governor AbdulRazaq, for appointing a professional to head the Agency.

He therefore appealed to the EC to reconsider the removal of valuation from mass titling and prayed for God's guidance and protection over him as he pilots the affairs of the Agency.
