The Kwara State Government has again assured the State Chapter of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, of its readiness to partner with them, for the progress and development of the state and Nigeria at large.

The Executive Chairman, Kwara State Goegraphic Information Service (KW-GIS), ESV Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman, gave this assurance during the week, when the members of the Institution paid him a courtesy visit in his GRA office, Ilorin, the State Capital.

Sulyman stated that KW-GIS would continue to work with the Institution, because both the Agency and the Institution have a common bound, especially in the area of land related matters, adding that the State Chapter of the Institution has been enjoying cordial relationship with KW-GIS since its inception.

He disclosed that the land reform became necessary, when this administration under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq came on board and observed that in Ease of Doing Business (EDB), Kwara State was rated low, therefore, the Governor decided to reform land related matters in the State by creating Geographic Information Service (GIS).

While apreciting the Institution for the visit, ESV Sulyman callled for its support, cooperation and prayers for the Agency to succeed, adding that "if the Agency succeeds, the Institution also succeeds".

Earlier on the purpose of visit, the Chairman of the Institution, ESV Oyedepo Olalekan, appreciated the warm reception from the Executive Chairman, even within a short notice, saying the Institution's visit to the Agency was to formally congratulate the Executive Chairman on his appointment, describing it as well deserved and round peg in a round hole.

He commended the State Government for the land transformation, which he described a timely development, noting that the State Chapter of the Institution has been enjoying good relationship with the Agency.

Presenting a Role Up banner to the Chairman, Oyedepo appealed for Government's continued support to the Institution at all times.

In attendance with the E.C, is the Ag. Administrative Secretary Mrs Motunrayo Adaran, Director Lands Services, ESV Abdulwahab Abdulrahaman and other top management staff.
