OLUKOJU URGES MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS STAFF TO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE

In a compelling move to enhance productivity and streamline operations, the Honourable Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, convened a landmark meeting with staff of the Ministry of Communications today in the conference room, marking a significant step towards enhancing productivity and promoting a culture of excellence within the ministry.

The central theme of this important gathering was to emphasize the vital role of punctuality, commitment to duty, efficient service delivery, and adherence to a professional dress code. 

Hon. Olukoju's impassioned call to action was underpinned by the belief that punctuality is the cornerstone of efficiency, and it is incumbent upon all staff members to be at their desks at the appointed time, ready to serve daily, as entrenched in public service rules.

The Commissioner underscored the significance of maintaining a professional appearance, stating that one's attire reflects not only personal discipline but also professionalism. She remarked, "Dressing appropriately is a demonstration of respect, as you are addressed the way you dress."

She went on to emphasize that dedication to duty equates to giving one's best to serve the state. "We should always bear in mind that the work we do here directly impacts the entire state," she said.

Hon. Olukoju reiterated the unwavering commitment of the state government to the welfare and well-being of civil servants, while also assuring an open-door policy for staff to share their innovative ideas, she said, "We thrive when we embrace new ideas and perspectives. I am eager to work collaboratively with you towards our shared goals."

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed, shared his own past experiences, highlighting the virtues of diligence and unwavering commitment to duties. "These principles have been the foundation of my success in the service," he said.

The meeting, attended by all Directors and Deputy Directors, provided an opportunity for them to share valuable experiences and offer guidance to the staff.

Alhaji Abdulganiyu Atere, the Director of Information Services, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Commissioner and the ministry's management for sharing their invaluable wisdom and experiences during the meeting.


Staff members present voiced their appreciation for the Commissioner's efforts and pledged to make necessary improvements in their performance.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
