The Kwara State Government has partnered with Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to ensure quality life for the citizens, while commending the efforts of the organisation over the years for using standardization as a platform to promote economy, improve the quality of life and enhance global and international competitiveness.

The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, stated this during a courtesy visit by the Management Team of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, in her office. 

The Commissioner reaffirmed the State government's commitment to socio-economic development of the State and promised its unwavering support to all Stakeholders.

Earlier, the State Coordinator, Standard Organisation of Nigeria, Mr. Ayeni Oyebola Fesisayo, congratulated the Commissoner on her appointment and wished her a successful tenure in office .

The State Coordinator commended the continuous support of the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbudulRahman AbudulRazaq, for creating enabling environment on ease of transacting business in the State.

Mr. Fesisayo highlighted the programmes drawn by the organisation over the years to accommodate the State Government policy and assured that the organisation will ensure provision of good and quality life for the citizenry in Kwara State. 

He pointed out the objectives of the organisation, which can serve as focus for harmonisation with the State Government namely: standardizing, sanitizing and regulating the Manufacturing and Distribution Sector within the State; upgrading the technical performances of the Micro, Small and Medium Entreprises and other Stakeholders in the State by 15%. 

The Coordinator noted that the objectives also include certifying 10% of the products evaluated and cultivated in the Industrial Sector to consistently produce quality goods in the State and called for the actualisation of these objectives, while stating that the organisation's sustainability plan is to engage these Stakeholders and achieve a higher level of quality/standard products that would promote value, creativity, customer satisfaction and diversity in the Manufacturing sector.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Government launched the Kwapreneur program as a strategic effort to empower industrious and innovative young entrepreneurs across the state. Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
