KWSG ASSURES STAKEHOLDERS IN ADEWOLE ULTRA MODERN MARKET OF ADEQUATE SOCIAL AMENITIES

The Kwara State Government has assured that it would continue to ensure the availability of necessary social amenities to improve trading activities in various markets across the State.

The State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Yusuf Adelodun Damilola, gave the assurance while receiving the Executive Members of Adewole Ultra Modern Market, Stakeholders and Facility Manager in the Ministry's conference room recently. 

The Commissioner enjoined the Traders to work as a Team with the Ministry, advising them to cooperate with the new Facility Manager to achieve the set targets in the running of the market.

Hon. Damilola also reiterated the support of the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, through creating new markets and social amenities for smooth operations of market activities in Kwara State.

She therefore, highlighted different opportunities that the State Government is providing for the people through Owo Isowo, Owo arugbo, Tradermoni, recent MSMEs Cash transfer and the creation of more Gbugbu & Bode Saadu International Markets across the State.

The Commissioner, however, urged the Traders to pay their bills regularly as agreed with the Facility Manager in order to enable him to perform his responsibilities effectively as well as facilitate the provision of necessary social amenities in the market.

Earlier, the Iyaloja, Adewole Ultra Modern Market, Hajia Maimunat Babakobi, congratulated the newly deployed Commissioner and commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the State. 

Iyaloja promised that the Association will continue to interface with the Ministry towards the provision of social amenities that need to be upgraded in the markets, which include road network, water supply, among others, while appreciating the new Facility Manager for restoring electricity as well as improving the security network in the market.

Also speaking, the new Facility Manager, Adewole Ultra Modern Market, Geco Construction Nig. Ltd., Otuba Odukunle Segun Toyyibu, thanked the Kwara State Government for its unrelenting efforts in the running of Adewole Ultra Modern Market and other markets and announced that the company has restored electricity supply and security in the market, thereby soliciting for road network within the market, water supply and renovation of dilapidated shops, among others.

Speaking on behalf of the Stakeholders in the Ultra Modern Market, Adewole, Alhajia Mulikat, appreciated the tireless efforts of the Ministry in tackling issues that affect them in the market, requesting for the stoppage of trading activities at the front of the market to enable the shops occupiers to sell their goods.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
