Kwara Commissioner Engages Stakeholders, Inspects Water Facilities in Lade

Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade has held consultations with major stakeholders in his community, with a view to bringing opportunities and development to the Local Government.

Hon. Lade held the engagement with his people over the weekend during his courtesy visit to Lade Community in patigi Local Government Area of the State.

The Commissioner, who is an indigene of Lade town, used the opportunity of the visit to assure the people of the community of his commitment and concern to improve access to quality water supply in the area.

He also visited the existing water infrastructure and facilities in the community to gain firsthand knowledge of the state of the facilities, and identify areas of critical needs.

The Commissioner assured the people of the community of his commitment to address their plight, especially the water situation in the community. 

Earlier, the Patigi Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Swasun in his remarks on behalf of the entire local government, expressed his deep gratitude to the Governor for entrusting their son with the cabinet responsibility of overseeing water resources in the state. 

Swasun emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and the local communities to ensure sustainable and equitable access to clean water, as well as efficient management of water resources.
