Olukoju Pays Homage to Emir of Ilorin


...even as she seeks his royal blessings



Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, today paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari Dan Bawa CFR, seeking his royal blessings and prayers on assumption of office, as the State’s Commissioner for Communications.

During the visit, Hon. Olukoju underscored the significance of her call on His Royal Highness, acknowledging his leadership as a cornerstone in establishing Kwara as one of the most peaceful states in the nation, even as she expressed her reverence and respect for His Royal Highness, therefore her aspirations for the royal blessings.

Hon. Olukoju stated further; "Your Royal Highness, I humbly seek your blessings and prayers to succeed in the important role entrusted to me by His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. As our Esteemed Leader and Royal Father, your prayers and blessings are of immense value to ensure our success in this endeavor’’. 

His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Zulu Gambari CFR, expressed his royal pleasure for the Commissioner's visit offering his heartfelt prayers and best wishes in the task ahead.

His Royal Highness also fondly reminisced the good old days himself and Commissioner's father shared during their youthful days.

"All of us from Kwara State always maintain a strong bond outside the state. Your Father and I often had encounters in Lagos and during our travels outside Nigeria. He was a good man, " he affirmed.

 "Therefore, as you embark on this journey, I wish you great success and pray that Allah bestows upon you the wisdom and knowledge required to effectively lead in the affairs your ministry."

In the Commissioner's team were the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed, Director of Personnel, Finance, and Supply, Hajia Yahaya Salamat Mohammed and Director of Culture and Tourism, Hajia Aishat Iyabo Buhari.
