Newly Sworn-In Kwara Commissioner Bolanle Olukoju Rallies for Collective Support


The newly inaugurated Commissioner for Communications in Kwara State, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, officially assumed her duties today. She appealed for support from the management staff to ensure the desired outcomes in government activities throughout the state. 

The Commissioner made this appeal during her inaugural meeting with the Ministry's management staff in her office.

Emphasising the importance of maximum cooperation, Olukoju expressed her readiness to collaborate closely with everyone in the Ministry to enhance the commendable work of the present administration. She encouraged all stakeholders to support her on this crucial journey, highlighting the significance of teamwork. She also expressed her willingness to consider innovative ideas from the team that can elevate the state to greater heights.

Recognising the potential challenges ahead, Hon. Olukoju outlined her key priorities, including effective information dissemination, the promotion of local culture, and the expansion of tourist attractions, among other initiatives, to overcome these challenges. She revealed her intention to hold one-on-one meetings with directors and heads of agencies under the Ministry to gain a better understanding of their current situations. She also expressed her desire to leverage social media to inform the public about government policies and programmes.

Regarding local culture, Olukoju stressed the need for an extensive promotion of local festivals to increase their global recognition. She called for active participation in festivals scheduled for the remaining part of the year.

Earlier in the meeting, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed, assured the Commissioner of the management staff's full support to ensure her success. All Directors were present at the meeting, and they provided brief overviews of the activities of their respective directorates.
