KWSG charges Contractor to Meet Deadline

The Kwara State Government has charged Contractor handling the State's Visual Arts Center (VAC) to ensure the completion of the project as scheduled, to serve the purpose intended.

The state Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju gave this charge at the weekend, during the 7th Valuation Assessment of Kwara State Visual Arts Center, Ilorin, the State Capital.

Olukoju emphasised the fact that, "the project is of utmost importance to the State Government, therefore, further delay will not be tolerated. If there are issues requiring clarification or assistance, you should approach the appropriate authorities for assistance.

"We trust that you will deliver, but you must prioritize completing the project, most importantly, delivering a good job."

The Commissioner who was happy about the progress of the of the work at the centre, said; "based on what we have seen so far, it is evident that you are following the specified plan".

Earlier, the Project Consultant, Arch. Isah AbdulHafiz , showed the Commissioner and her team round the project and disclosed that the project is 90% complete, assuring them that it would be completed by December 2023.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed, emphasized the significance of the project to the state and charged the contractor to ensure completion and deliver on schedule.

Those who accompanied the Commissioner to the VAC include Director of Personnel Finance and Supply; Hajia Yahaya Salamat Mohammed, Director of Information Services, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Atere, Director of Public Orientation, Alhaji Salahu Olayinka Jimoh and other Principal Officers of the ministry.
