KWSG felicitates with teachers on Teachers' Day

The Kwara State Government has felicitated with the teachers in the state as they celebrate World Teachers Day.

In a statement released from the Office of the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, he lauded the efforts of all the teachers in the state, reiterating their importance to the building and education of children.

According to him, " Today is set aside to celebrate our teachers, to honour and appreciate them for all their contributions to the development of our schools.

As we all know, the government of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has placed great importance on the education sector, which has seen our schools take on a new look, and also the employment of qualified teachers to tutor our kids.

"The government will stop at nothing to also make the lives of our teachers easy, such that our upcoming graduates will want to take up teaching jobs as a career," he concluded.

Speaking further, The Commissioner noted that according to the theme of this year's celebration, "The transformation of education begins with teachers", the government of Kwara State is working in line with UNESCO's plan to care for, and support the teachers with what they need to allow their learners to excel.
