*KWSG to create more job opportunities- Towoju*

The Kwara state government has reaffirmed its dedication to turning the fortunes of Kwara state positively and commitment to creating job opportunities for the teeming youths.

This was revealed by the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode Towoju, on a radio programme today.

Towoju stated that the state government has been working "assiduously in giving Kwara state a new face in all ramifications," and he highlighted the various works done in constructions, Infrastructural development, education and health and poverty alleviation.

He criticized the "rotten state" the present administration met every sector  in the state, terming most of the state- owned companies as "moribund and out of shape" prior 2019.

The Commissioner stated that the previous administration did not have a "comprehensive plan" towards making sure that Kwara youths benefit well from the state government, noting that Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's government is transparent and fair in all its dealings.

Towoju emphasized that the garment factory will create jobs for up to 200,000 youths upon its completion, stressing that the factory is already 95 per cent  done.

According to him, "many people have termed Kwara a civil servant state, but I can assure you that this will soon be a thing of the past, as the governor is working tirelessly in creating job opportunities for the dear people of the state. 

"It is of key to note that the Gbugbu Market is also on the verge of completion, and it will be a huge ground for economic dispensation, as it is designed to meet international standards.

"There are a lot of projects ongoing presently in the state, such as the International Conference Centre, Kwara ICT Innovation Hub, Ilorin Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Film research among others," he concluded.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
