KWSG reiterates its commitment to the people's welfare

The Kwara State Government has restated its mandate to improve the lifestyle of Kwarans in health, water, rural development, basic education and workers’ welfare.

This submission was made by the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, while featuring on a radio programme this morning.

Towoju noted that the government has started disbursement of ₦20,000 each to 30,000 women traders across the 16 Local Government Areas in the state.

The disbursement is being coordinated under the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) Owo Isowo initiative.

He further stated that the government is working assiduously on Culture and Tourism in the state, which is evident in the 'Bashorun Gaa' stage play, performed and led by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Eyiwumi Muka Ray.

On sports, the Commissioner noted that a lot of constructions are ongoing in the stadium, noting that Kwara State presently has the best squash pitch in the country, courtesy of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

When asked about the fact that there has been no commissioning of capital project in the state, Towoju stressed that the projects in progress are near completion and will all be commissioned soon.

He noted that the state is also available to maintain environmental hygiene, and seek collaboration with the people of the state, while avoiding environmental hazards.

According to the Commissioner, "The Ministry of Environment is doing all within its capacity to make Kwara clean, but everybody must work together with the government to dispose of their waste products at the designated waste bins.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
