Towoju charges parents on closeness to wards

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has called on parents to be closer to the children under their care as this will boost their confidence and enhance trust, which ultimately leads to a saner society. 

Towoju gave this call at the 34th Annual Graduation and Passing out Parade of the Air Force Primary School, Oloje, Ilorin, today. 

He commended the Management of the school for setting a good standard and for instilling good virtues in the pupils.

" We are proud to be associated with the school and everything it stands for.  All the kids have performed excellently well today and I must say the march past was very colourful and interesting," he added. 

Towoju assured the school of government's partnership while harping on  the numerous ways the Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has been improving and elevating the education sector. 

" The governor wants the best for the Kwara child and right now, 39 digital schools are under construction and every ward in the state will have one. 

" Our students are also performing well and all roads lead to Netherlands for a global competition, which, we rest assured, they are not going to disappoint us, as we have really invested in their education. 

" I am sure you are aware of KwaraLEARN which is the digitization of public primary schools in the state. In Kwara today, you can confidently enrol your ward in a public primary school and not be scared because the governor is already solidifying their foundation."

In addition, Towoju stated that "the love our Exceptional Governor has for the Kwara Child made him pay off the UBEC loan that was owed by previous administration and by settling off the debt, Kwara began benefitting from many educational programs." 

The commissioner urged the graduating pupils to "think Kwara first" and ensure they face their studies squarely, while shunning hooliganism and cultism.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
