*KWSG to strengthen partnership with NOA*

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to partnering with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in order to sustain an enabling environment for sensitization and information dissemination to the public.

This assertion was given by the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode Towoju, while receiving the Management of NOA, in  Kwara State, in the Ministry's Conference room today.

He advised the Agency to make it a point of duty to sensitize Kwarans about the cultural values of the state.

According to him, "We are in a precarious situation in the country, whereby a lot of youths are getting involved in diverse societal vices and bad engagements, such as cyber crime and prostitution.
"I believe our children and wards need to be well-sensitized, tutored, schooled and orientated, as this will help tackle such nuisance in the society."

The commissioner further emphasized the need to "educate our mindsets" as well, saying " the moment we begin to see our values, worth, principles and ethics as paramount, we will not imbibe foreign cultures that endager our state of reasoning."

Hon. Towoju commended NOA in the state for always "putting Kwara first" in all their actions, and urged them to work with the Directorate of Public Orientation of the ministry.

The Director of Public Orientation, Alh. Abdulganiyu Atere, stated that the ministry was working assiduously as well and that the collaboration with NOA will continue to go smoothly.
Earlier, the State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi, commended the government for  improving the synergy between it  and the Agency.

He emphasized that NOA has the mandate to get feedback from the populace, especially at the grassroots, and pass across to the government at state and federal levels, so that the they will as well know the minds and agitations of the people.

Oluwafemi Samuel Adeoye,
Assistant Press Secretary,
