*KWSG Reiterates Committment To Quality Service Delivery*

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its will to keep the flag flying, while making sure Kwarans' welfare is its top priority, as well as providing an enabling environment for businesses and innovations to grow.

This submission was made by the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, while featuring on a radio programme this morning.

Towoju noted that the Governor has given Kwarans a 'new ray of hope', noting that the government has been providing means of livelihood for all Kwarans through different means such as KWASSIP, Owo Arugbo and Owo Isowo.

He went further to say that a new means to help about 30,000 Kwarans, which will cut across the 193 wards, is already in motion.

On the news that the governor was attacked verbally in the past week, the Commissioner noted that the video posted online was of events that happened during the past administration in 2018.

According to Towoju, "It is key to note that the previous administration has sold off the Deputy Governor's official residence, which has resulted in the sitting Deputy Governor living in a rented apartment.

"The past administration siphoned all money meant for the state to their own personal purse, all Kwarans should be aware that this sitting government is receiving a 25% less allocation as compared to the last administration, and yet minimum wage is being paid as at when due, His Excellency really deserves to be praised," he submitted.

The Commissioner further admonished the good people of Kwara State to "look at the bigger picture in the ICT Hub Center" which the government is working on, because the world has evolved, and Kwara should not be left behind, noting that the best tutors will be available to teach our wards at the centre.

He stressed the issue which came up during NLC solidarity protest in which Kwara State University (KWASU), reached out to the government for some issues as ''propaganda from the opposition party to soil the name of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq."

He noted that the management of KWASU has denied any involvement in it.

Towoju also emphasized that APC has given a "level playing ground for all aspirants to contest,"  noting that not everyone who vie for a particular position will win, as only one person will come out victorious, and that there is no disorder in the party.

On matters concerning the pensioners, he promised that all pensioners and retirees will be paid their due pensions.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
