*KWSG reaffirms commitment to Ladies Sports Club*

The Kwara State Government has restated its commitment towards the welfare of Kwarans, particularly to the female gender.

The First Lady of the State, Amb. Dr. (Mrs) Olufolake AbdulRazaq, gave this assurance during a courtesy visit by  the management of Kwara Ladies United Football Club, Ilorin.

Ambassador AbdulRazaq, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, said that the government will continue to render support to the female club and make sure it is " at par with her male counterparts."

In her words, "we will see to it that Kwara Ladies United Football Club will not be discriminated against and they will receive the government's help, such that they will be placed on the same level as the male team.

"The Governor believes in He-for-She and will definitely not leave the ladies' team out,'' she concluded.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Management, Mallam Mohammed Jimoh Daudu, commended the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration for their timely intervention in the team, which is "the very first time any government is rendering help, ever since its inception in 1980."

He further appreciated the First Lady for always giving listening ears to their requests, stressing that she has been "so supportive with financial aids and logistics."
