KWSG Expresses Readiness for Strategic Partnership

The Kwara State government has re-echoed its commitment and readiness to partner with relevant individuals and  groups in a quest to ensure that every Kwaran partakes of the dividends of democracy.

This was made known by the Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, while receiving delegates of the "Kwara Solidarity Movement" during a courtesy visit to his office today.

According to Towoju, "Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is ready to collaborate, in any capacity, to move Kwara State forward and to ensure all Kwarans are comfortable.

" His Excellency has the interest of the state at heart and he sees its development as his utmost priority, so he is ready for anyone who is willing to join hands in solidarity with him to make Kwara great again."

While recalling the "immensity of rot" perpetrated by previous administrations, Hon. Towoju described the "bastardisation of all sectors" in the state as a deliberate attempt by the previous government to ensure that "Kwarans remain slaves" to them.

"The education sector is left to rot because they did not want the children of the poor to compete with their own children. They don't want the children of the masses to jostle for the same juicy positions with their children. They intentionally killed the education sector.  Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq felt the pain of the masses and decided to change the narrative of the education sector."

" He started by paying the backlog of counterpart funds for UBEC to enable the state have access to more fund. Today, the newly accessed funds are being used to renovate, reconstruct and revamp over 600 schools across the state. The government is constructing Digital Literacy Centres across the state to promote technology-based teaching," he said.

Hon. Towoju equally described the non-implementation of the minimum wages and owing of backlogs of salary by the previous administration as a delibrate effort to "impoverish hardworking Kwarans"

" Today, no Kwara Civil Servant is being owed a dime. Civil Servants get their salary as and when due. They are now enjoying the minimum wage."

Earlier in his address, the Coordinator of Kwara Solidarity Movement, Mr Mohammed Saheed Alagbanda thanked Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for changing the narrative of the state to a glorious one. 

Mr Alagbanda then sought for the support of the state government on a project the Movement is set to embark on.

According to him, "the project is designed to sensitize the general public, particular the grassroots, on the achievements of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration."

"The current use of the social media to broadcast the achievements of the Governor is not enough as not many people in the grassroots have access to social media. If we get the government's support, we would visit the grassroots to educate and sensitize them about the great achievements of His Excellency," he added.
