Towoju assures fast projects completion rate

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, had assured that the several projects embarked upon by the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, will soon be completed.

Towoju gave the assurance during a media parley with the Correspondents' chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).

According to him, the government is concerned about creating employment for the teeming youths and also interested in attracting investors to the state which will ultimately lead to  greater economic stability.

" The governor knows the importance of engaging the youths positively. When we provide jobs for them, there is no way some people will make use of them for thuggery and other evil vices.

" I can assure you that in a few months now, Kwarans will see what we are saying. They will definitely be happy. It requires a little patience and very soon, we will be the better for it.

"Just recently, some investigative journalists were in the state to see the projects embarked upon by the Governor and to see the level of work done. They expressed satisfaction at the work done and commended the state government," he added.

Speaking on workers' welfare, the commissioner stated that the administration of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq can boast of not owing workers' salary, despite the sharp drop previously recorded in the federal allocation.

Towoju added that all workers in Kwara State are still enjoying their full minimum wage while noting that this has also positively motivated the workers to discharge their duties effectively well.
