Kwara Gov commits ₦150m to water projects, FG offers support

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has committed fresh ₦150m to the construction of at least 48 modern motorised boreholes and their accessories in Moro and Asa Local Government Areas of the State.


The investment complements the ongoing efforts of the administration to make potable water available to residents of the State.

The gesture of the State Government has led to the Federal Government offering to construct 20 solar boreholes in Edu and Offa Local Government Areas, each getting 10 apiece to deepen public access to water. 

“This is just one of the findings from the budget review process this year. It is therefore worth informing the Kwara public that the government is committed to meet their water needs in phases as our resources permit,” a statement quoted the Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Florence Olasumbo Oyeyemi, as saying.

“The spending on water aligns with His Excellency’s ongoing investments in Partnership for Expanded Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (PEWASH) and Open Defecation Free (ODF) campaign. These efforts are glaring and impactful, and we are making appreciable progress.”

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
