First batch of 539 Kwara pilgrims arrives Saudi Arabia

The first batch of 539 intending pilgrims for this year's Hajj from Kwara State who departed the llorin International Airport today have arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


The pilgrims who departed the airport aboard Max Airline aircraft at about 5.40 a.m. were seen off by the State Amirul-Hajj, Dr Awwal lbrahim; the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulganniy Ishola Ahmed; relations and well wishers.

Dr. Ibrahim charged the pilgrims, before their departure, to be good ambassadors of the State and Nigeria in the holy land, adding that they should pray for the restoration of peace in the State and the country at large while performing the pilgrimage.

The Amirul-Hajj said the successful takeoff of the inaugural flight was due to the efforts of the state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide him to pilot the affairs of the State to greater heights.

He attributed the delay in the transportation of pilgrims to the late outcome of PCR test results, adding that every intending pilgrims must go for the test 72 hours before the journey.

Ibrahim disclosed that a total of 1,500 intending pilgrims from the State would perform the 2022 Hajj with the board.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
