Towoju seeks cooperation in boosting IGR

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has called on government agencies to rise up to their task of supporting the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in boosting the Internally Generated Revenue of the state. 

Towoju made the call while hosting the newly-appointed board members of the Kwara State Television Authority (KWTV) at the Ministry's Conference room today. 
 
The Commissioner, who lauded the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the prompt payment of workers' salary despite the sharp drop of one billion naira in the February allocation, with the continuous full payment of the Minimum wage, added that all hands should be on deck to maximise the potentials of revenue generation for the state.
He praised the management of KWTV and commended them for the 24 hours transmission and clarity of the signals of the station.

The Commissioner also  showered encomiums on the General Manager of the Station, Mr. Olatunde Michaels, for "thinking Kwara first" and for his proactiveness to duty. 

On his part, the Chairman of KWTV's board, Alh. Hameed Adio, appreciated the governor for deeming it fit to appoint them as members of the station's board.

He  expressed his eagerness to showcase the monumental achievements of the government, while announcing that it is "not business as usual."

Adio further assured the management of the station's maximum cooperation in sensitizing the people and creating awareness of the activities and achievements of the government.

KWASRRA COMMENCES LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESIDENTS REGISTRATION

The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency has commenced registration for the staff of Local Government Areas and farmers across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State. The second phase of the registration exercise is focused on the registration of the members of Staff of the Local Government Areas (LGA), Local Government Education Authority ( LGEA), Teaching Service Commission ( TESCOM) and farmers across the State.
