TOWOJU FELICITATES DR. ALIMI ABDULRAZAQ ON CONFERMENT AS MUTAWALI OF ILORIN
The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has joined thousands of well-wishers in the world to felicitate Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq as the traditional title of Mutawali of Ilorin has been conferred on him by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari.
In a statement made available to news men in his office today, Towoju, said that the title of "Mutawali of Ilorin" is a prime office, which requires an upstanding, steadfast, prominent, experienced and God-loving figure who commands an astute cosmopolitan aura that can appropriately re-engineer his society towards fast development.
The Commissioner explained that the conferment of the traditional designation on Dr. Abdulrazaq is a prestigious and befitting development and will accentuate the beauty of the pedigree of the people of Ilorin.
"Conferment of the prestigious title of "Matawali of Ilorin" on Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq is an epoch-making development to the indigenes of Ilorin and the entire people of Kwara State.
" He is an illustrious son of the soil. He takes after his father. His conferment suggests his firm commitment to concretising and immortalising the legacy of his late father. Kwarans are here congratulating him, the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the entire family of the new chieftain," Towoju stated.
The commissioner described Dr. AbdulRazaq as a paragon of humility and fairness and prayed for God to grant him the wisdom needed for the post.
