Towoju Commends work on Ilorin Visual Arts Centre

The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has expressed satisfaction at the level of work done at the Ilorin Visual Arts Centre, located near the Presidential Villa in Ilorin.

Towoju also noted that the edifice will be an unprecedented International Tourist Centre in the state, with the dual functions of Visual Arts and Film Productions. 

Towoju made the remarks during an inspection tour to the centre with his management team, in order to assess the level of work done on the project and to urge the workers to do a good job as the government is committed to topping the charts in history making. 

" This edifice, when completed, will be the only one of its kind having dual functions of Visual Arts and filming not only in the state and the country, but also in the entire West Africa sub- region and it will automatically transform our dear state into an international tourist center. It will also serve as a means of revenue generation for the State.

"I am glad I met the workers at work, even when they did not know I was coming. The Governor wants the Ilorin Visual Arts Centre to be completed as soon as possible as it will create job opportunities for our teeming youths and also attract investors, both within and outside the country," the Commissioner said. 



The Director of Operations of the site, Engr. Folu Egbeoluwa, assured that the job will soon be done and he reinforced that the materials being used are of high quality.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
