Minimum Wage: Civil Servants Celebrate Gov. AbdulRazaq

Civil Servants in the State Ministry of Communications have commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the implementation of the new minimum wage across all levels of the service.

The workers held special prayer sessions on Friday to beseech God to continue to guide the Governor aright.

The workers later trouped to the office of the Commissioner, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, to urge him to pass their appreciation to the governor.

Speaking on behalf of the workers, the Director Personnel, Finance and Supply (DPFS), Alhaji Hassan Taiye Afodun, said workers in Kwara State have never had it so good, in terms of minimum wage.

Afodun said apart from promoting workers' welfare, the governor has also been implementing projects that have the potentials of boosting the economy of the State.

He gave an example of the Ilorin Visual Arts Centre under construction, the Innovation Hub under construction, and a host of other projects, which on completion, will deepen opportunities in the arts, entertainment and ICT sector of the economy.

In his response, the Commissioner, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, said he was pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming appreciation by the workers.

Towoju said Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has shown that he is a man of honour in governance as he delivers on his promise.

The Commissioner also described the governor as a man with the gold fingers whose drive for excellence has been motivating the workers in the State.

The commissioner further asserted that the governor would remain committed to qualitative governance, especially on the welfare of the people of the State.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
