KWSG ready to partner with investors-Towoju

The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has reiterated the need to attract investors to the state and diversify the economy to increase its revenue generation. 

He stressed that the government of the day is interested in supporting Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), as evident in the recent approval of grants for business-owners in the state.

Towoju, who made this known on Radio Kwara interactive  programme, "The Platform," added that Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is passionate about the growth and development of Kwara State. 

While speaking on the recent protest that was held at the Government House, Ilorin, by some Offa residents on the delayed justice for the Offa Bank Robbery victims, the Commissioner assured Kwarans that the government will not leave any stone unturned in bringing the evil-doers to book and appealed to them to be patient with the government.

On the Saturday Environmental sanitation that saw to 300 violators being arrested, the Communications Commissioner urged residents to adhere to the environmental laws and follow the advice of environmental officers in keeping their surroundings clean, while also adding that indiscriminate dumping of wastes must be stopped, along with  the menace of open defecation.

On the recent appointment of boards for the three state-owned media houses, Towoju stated that Governor AbdulRazaq wants the media houses to be able to compete with their international colleagues and said that the board appointments were done in order to ensure efficient service delivery for the media houses.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
