Kwara North: Gov. AbdulRazaq is Godsent

The Emir of Okuta and Chairman of Baruten Emirate Council, Kwara State, Alhaji Abubakar Sero Idris, expressed the delight of the district in having a radio station that will connect them to the world.

“I want to appreciate Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for deeming it fit to wipe the disgrace of the whole of Kwara North with the establishment of Nootia FM. This governor is different from what we have been having in the past. He pays attention to our needs and is always ready to solve people's problems.”

"Governor AbdulRazaq is a humble man who does not find it hard to call you. He is a ‘talk and do’ governor. When you have two wives, there is no way you will not know the one who is better. This governor is really doing well,” the Emir praised.

Emir Sero Idris made the remarks when the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, led his management team to pay a visit to the traditional ruler in his palace after visiting Nootia F.M. for inspection.

The Emir said further that the governor has been helping Kwara North in the health sector, explaining that the GeneXpert machine used for tuberculosis, which the administration purchased for the hospital in Okuta, is a thoughtful act.

He added that the governor is taking care of "West Africa" as people from the neighbouring Benin Republic also come to make use of the machine.
The Emir prayed for the Commissioner and hinted that Towoju's next appointment will be a higher one as he is already making impact in the AbdulRazaq-led administration.

He urged the government to look into the border line with Benin Republic so has to protect the territory of Nigeria to avert misunderstanding.

The Commissioner for Communications, earlier in his remarks, described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as having open arms to all Kwarans and ready to carry everybody along in his administration.

"Governor AbdulRazaq is passionate about your affairs in Kwara North and he has established a radio station here to ensure that you all enjoy what others are enjoying. It is very disheartening for the governor to hear that this part has been totally cut off. Why would you have to go and use their radio stations in Benin Republic when you can have your own?”

"Okuta is the Governor's second home and he wants to restore all our Emirs back to their rightful position," the Commissioner added.
