Towoju Assures Better Projection of Government Policies Under His Watch

The new Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, says the Ministry under his watch will ensure that the policies and programmes of government are better projected.

Towoju gave this assurance today at the handing over of the reins of the Ministry to him by the outgone Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, who has been re-assigned to the Ministry of Environment.

He noted that the state government is working towards the removal of impediments that hinder effective performance of the Press Secretaries in the dissemination of government policies and programmes.

The Commissioner promised to liaise with other members of the State Executive Council in order to ensure that Press Secretaries have an enabling environment to discharge their official responsibilities.

He charged the Management and Staff of the Ministry to always ' Think Kwara First' and remain apolitical so that their loyalty will be steadfast.

Earlier, the outgone Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, in her remarks,  noted that the state government has remained committed to revitalising the agencies under the Ministry.

Buraimoh also charged the Management and Staff of the Ministry to extend the same hands of cooperation to the new Commissioner in promoting the programmes of the present administration in the state.
In a  similar development, the Obajisun of Ayedun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluwasegun Rotimi Abayo, paid a visit to the new Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, in his office today to felicitate with him on his appointment by the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam  Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq and he prayed for God's guidance for him in steering the affairs of the Ministry.

The Royal Father clamored for cooperation and support for the new Commissioner and commended Towoju for his proactiveness, selflessness and his supportive nature to the present administration, while hinting that the visit would be the first of its kind he would be paying to a political office holder's office. 
While responding , Towoju appreciated the monarch and submitted that the last time Ayedun, in Oke-Ero Local Government of the State, had a Commissioner was in 1972.

 He further appreciated the present administration for the opportunity to serve his State.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
