"He for She" Award: Towoju Congratulates Governor AbdulRazaq

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has congratulated the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the occasion of the " HE for SHE " Award presented to the Governor by the Women Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in recognition of his role in promoting women inclusion and empowerment in Nigeria.
In a statement, the Press Secretary of the Ministry, Ayobami Ashaolu, quoted the Commissioner to have described the award as "not coming as a surprise because the Governor is the first Governor in all 36 states to nominate a female majority cabinet and deliberately mainstream gender inclusion in the state.   
"Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is for everybody. There is nothing like gender insensitivity in his dictionary. This is even evident in the recent legislation which made it binding and necessary that there must be, at least, 35 per cent  women participation in the cabinet and public sector appointments. 
" Women need not shy away from politics. The Governor needs your fresh ideas and intellect. He does not play with the issue of women at all and so this award is not surprising at all, if anything, I am glad that this pace-setting act of his, is being acknowledged and appreciated, not just in Nigeria, but also worldwide as the Vice President of Liberia, Dr. Jewel Taylor and a host of dignitaries were there to hail our Governor, making our dear state, Kwara, to, again, be on the radar positively," Towoju added. 

The Commissioner further wished the governor greater landmark victories and called on women to utilize their God-given intelligence so that Kwara State can become better for all.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
