Press Officers Charged on Effective Discharge of Duties

The State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, has charged Press Secretaries posted to Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State to discharge their duties with utmost professionalism in order to achieve an effective information dissemination strategy.

Buraimoh gave the charge today during a meeting with the Press Secretaries who are staff of the Ministry of Communications.

She appreciated them for working tirelessly in achieving the goals of the Government and Ministry and also urged them to ensure they raise the flag in information dissemination without relenting in their efforts.

The Commissioner disclosed that the meeting was called to get to know the challenges faced by Press Secretaries posted to various MDAs in order to ensure that they discharge their responsibilities in more friendly environments.

In his own submission, the State Director of Information Services, Mr. Ayobami Akanbi, who addressed the officers as the "foot soldiers" of the Ministry, disclosed that the meeting was part of regular interface to remind the officers of the reasons they are called Information Officers while also reiterating the fact that the Government is working hard and that it is the duty of Press Secretaries in the State to report the activities of the Government in a concise and timely manner.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
