KWSG Committed To Infrastructural Development- Buraimoh


The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, has said that the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration has turned the state around positively in infrastructural development, education, health, Works and Transport and other key areas.

Buraimoh made the assertion at a media parley with the Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kwara Council.

The Commissioner  submitted that the Governor AbdulRahman administration  is turning around the poor narrative in the education sector with the rehabilitation of schools and  the birth of the "Kwara Learn" Programme, designed to digitalize education and ensure a child-centred approach to teaching.
She stated the achievements of the government in the State-owned media  houses and indicated that the Radio Kwara Extension to Kwara North, which was created to bridge the information gap in the district, is nearing its completion, with 80 per cent completion rate. 

While stating the investment opportunities created by the administration,the Commissioner added that the Visual Arts Centre and Innovation Hub are also some of the projects that will attract investors to the state to help the economic development of the State and create opportunities for the teeming youth. 
Hon. Buraimoh, who commended the Chapel for projecting the programmes, policies and activities of the government, gave the assurances that subsequently, regular parleys will be organized to interact with journalists so as to field pressing questions and inquiries on the activities of the government in various sectors.

Hon. Buraimoh urged the journalists  to continue discharging their duties without fear or favour,  and assured them that the government of the day is interested in a free, safe and independent media.
In attendance were the Director of Information Services (DOI) of the Ministry, Alhaji Ayobami Akanbi and the Director of Public Orientation, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adeniyi DanKazeem.
