Don't Patronise Unregistered, Defaulting Billboard Vendors, KWASAA Urges Kwarans

• Tasks Practitioners On Guidelines, Compliance

The Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) has asked all practitioners in the state to fulfil their obligations to the agency, including adhering to established guidelines, saying continuous non-compliance will attract penalties.

In a statement on Wednesday, Ag. General Manager of the Agency, 'Toba Adeyeye, ARPA, warned practitioners against flouting the rules of the agency.

He, therefore, appealed to individuals and corporate bodies that wish to use billboards for Sallah felicitations to ensure they patronise registered advertising agencies.

The KWASAA boss urged everyone to verify whether their billboard vendors are compliant with their obligations to the signage agency.

He encouraged members of the public to approach the agency for relevant information and guidelines to avoid sanctions.

Adeyeye reminded members of the public that the agency and stakeholders at last Friday's meeting unanimously agreed that only registered practitioners should be allowed to own and operate billboards within the state.

He emphasised that verification is crucial to avoid any enforcement actions related to unpaid billboard rentals.

While wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the KWASAA boss appreciated Kwarans for their support of the agency to excel in its mandate.

The Kwara State Civil Service Commission will conduct oral interviews for shortlisted medical and healthcare candidates on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 , and Thursday, 22 May 2025 , beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day at the Commission’s headquarters on Ahman Patigi Road, GRA, Ilorin. Environmental Sanitation Holds Saturday

The Kwara State monthly environmental sanitation exercise  for the month of May, will hold on Saturday, 31st 2025 between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00am to 10:00am) in the morning.  This was contained in a press statement issued today from the office of the state Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge. As usual, the statement enjoined residents to participate fully in the sanitation exercise, by clearing and cleaning both their residential and business environments.  According to the press statement signed by the Press Secretary of the Ministry  Mrs Shakirat Muritala; "there will be no vehicular and human movement across the state, during the period of the exercise."
