Youth Commissioner Tasks Corps Members' on Punctuality, Dedication to Duties

The Kwara State Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu has tasked Corp members to show high level of dedication, discipline and punctuality in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Commissioner who stated this during a meeting with the Corps Members in the conference room of the Ministry today in Ilorin, noted that corps members are expected to be role models and ambassadors of positive change, especially in a Ministry that plays key roles in youth development and empowerment.

"The NYSC is a vital platform that not only promotes national unity, but also equips young Nigerians with valuable leadership skills and work ethics. I encourage you all to be punctual, committed and take your duties and assignments seriously, " the Commissioner submitted. 

The Commissioner applauded the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his dedication and commitment to making sure that Corps Members in the State are well taken care of and receive utmost care in their various places of primary assignments.

He further encouraged them to see their service year as an opportunity to acquire practical skills and build lasting networks that would benefit their future careers.

The Kwara State Civil Service Commission will conduct oral interviews for shortlisted medical and healthcare candidates on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 , and Thursday, 22 May 2025 , beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day at the Commission’s headquarters on Ahman Patigi Road, GRA, Ilorin. PUBLIC CLARIFICATIONS ON THE PROPOSED PAVILION

  Kwara State Geographic Information Service (GIS) again wishes to state the following on the proposed pavilion project:  The Service restates that at no time was any approval sought nor any given before the contractor illegally embarked on the construction work at the site. This is a grave offence under the law, which attracts 200% penalty. The Service does not tolerate such behaviour under whatever guise, hence the stoppage of work on the second day it started, February 7, 2025. The Service hereby acknowledges that it received a set of incomplete documents from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security with a cover letter from the Ilorin Emirates Council.
