Kwara Prioritizes Youth Empowerment, Launches New Initiatives

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its strong commitment to youth development, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq leading various efforts to empower and uplift young people across the State.

Speaking during a radio programme at Albarka FM earlier today, the  Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu, praised the Governor’s dedication, describing him as “a leader who takes youth matters to heart” and “a Governor who is truly appreciated by the youth for his consistent support and investment in their future.”

The Commissioner announced a new partnership with the Kwara Kre8, an initiative aimed at creating opportunities for young people to maximize their potential. “We are working closely with the Kwara Kre8 to ensure that our youths have meaningful platforms to showcase their talents and develop useful skills,” he said.

He also highlighted the Sugar Film Factory as one of the Governor’s key projects, designed to support young creatives, particularly in the film industry. “The Sugar Film Factory is a place where our youth can produce and edit their films," he noted.

Amb. Ndanusa further assured that youth corps members remain a priority, “the youth corps members are our responsibility, and they are in safe hands. We are committed to giving them adequate care", he said.

The Kwara Kre8 is an initiative where participants will be empowered with skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities to excel in their creative pursuits. The workshop promises to equip participants with industry relevant skills and expertise, provide mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, facilitate networking opportunities with industry stakeholders and showcase participants' talents to a wider audience.
