Arinde Emerges Best Commissioner in North Central Zone
The Kwara State Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Ronke Arinde, has emerged the Best Commissioner in the North Central Geopolitical Zone in recognition of her outstanding contributions and commitment to effective public service.
While receiving the prestigious award from the Arewa Media Publications and Events Company on Monday at a reception organised in her honour by the Management and Staff of the Ministry, Dr. Arinde expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for the recognition and honour bestowed upon her.
The Commissioner described the award as a call to greater service and dedication, noting that recognition of outstanding performance serves as an encouragement to public office holders to remain committed to delivering quality services to the people.
She commended the Media Company for its initiative in identifying and celebrating excellence among public office holders across the North Central Geopolitical Zone, reiterating the unwavering commitment of the Kwara State Government to improving the living conditions of the people, particularly the downtrodden and vulnerable, through effective planning, people-oriented policies and inclusive budgeting.
According to her, the present administration places a high premium on strategic planning and the efficient allocation of resources to ensure that government programmes and projects adequately reflect the needs, aspirations and concerns of the people.
The Commissioner commended the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his passion and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the State, noting that the Governor’s visionary leadership and commitment to good governance have continued to provide an enabling environment for Ministries, Departments and Agencies to perform optimally in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Dr. Arinde dedicated the award to the Kwara State Government, the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, stressing that the recognition was a collective achievement resulting from the dedication, cooperation and commitment of the entire workforce.
The Commissioner assured that the Ministry would remain focused and continue to work diligently towards the formulation and implementation of sound policies, strategic development plans and effective budgeting processes that would further promote sustainable growth and development across the State.
Speaking earlier, the Publisher of Arewa Media Publications and Events Company, Prince Joshua Adeleke, who was represented by Mallam Jimoh Elewu-Etu, said the organisation instituted the award to recognise and celebrate outstanding Commissioners and other Principal Office Holders who have distinguished themselves in the discharge of their duties across the North Central Geopolitical Zone.
He explained that the initiative was aimed at encouraging excellence, accountability and improved performance among public office holders, while promoting a culture of recognising individuals whose contributions have positively impacted governance and societal development.
Prince Adeleke explained that Dr. Arinde’s recognition as the Best Commissioner for the North Central Zone was a testament to her dedication, outstanding leadership and contributions to development planning and good governance and urged the Commissioner not to relent in her commitment to excellence and service to humanity.
The Management and Staff of the Ministry also congratulated the Commissioner on the prestigious award and described the recognition as a reflection of her exemplary leadership and dedication to duty.
