KWFRC Inspects Projects In Ilorin West Local Government Area

The Kwara State  Fiscal Responsibility Commission (KWFRC) Management Board has paid an assessment tour to  Ilorin West local government to inspect the various projects executed by  the  Council.
     The Chairman of the Commission,  Barr. Abubakar Othman accompanied by other members explained that the visit was part of the Commission responsibility at ensuring fiscal discipline,  transparency, and accountability in the execution of government projects. 

Barr. Abubakar stated that this was with the aim of achieving the State Government objective of ensuring efficient service delivering at the grassroots level.

The Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Shehu AbdulRahman Babatunde, in his remark, appreciated the Commission for the oversight visit and reaffirmed the Council's commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible management of public funds .

Hon. AbdulRahman Babatunde affirmed that the administration remained focused on delivering quality infrastructure and people oriented projects that would improve the welfare of residents.

Project executed by the Council included the repair of a transformer at Baboko, repair and installation of armour cable at Ode Aladire Ubandawaki, procurement and the installation of 300/11kva transformer at Itakudimoh and Ubandawaki Ward, procurement and installation of 500/11kva transformer at Aleniboro Wara/ Egbejila Ward, procurement and installation of solar powered borehole at Area Court 1 at the Secretariat, construction of the civil defence post at Eruda in Baboko Ward, installation of 30 solar street lights across the Council.

Other projects included: drilling of motorable borehole opposite Imam House at Agaka I sale, construction of pit toilet at Ori Okoh Alagbado area, renovation of a block of classroom at Junior Secondary School Anifowose Ubandawaki, construction of Emirate pavilion at the Emir Palace, construction of concrete drainage with retaining walls at Gbagba Adura phase 2 and Onitesuba b,ehind Doyin group of company, evacuation of refuse at Gegele along Ori Okoh Ago area, construction and installation of motorized borehole at Oko Erin Alangua, Agbo oba Badari, Ubandawaki Shoto area and Oju Ekun Ile Molebi, interlocks at Apaokagi area, Adewole, and Anifowose Alaya area, rehabilitation of fence at LGEA Ayo Magaji Ngeri, repair of vandalized transformer at Gaa-Odota, Oke Agodi, Isale Agaka Sanni Ok in, Ita Oyinbo, Jaji/Aboro Isale Aluko Oke Agodi, among others .

LG COMMISSIONER APPLAUDS OFFA COUNCIL OVER PROJECT EXECUTIONS

The Kwara State Government has applauded the Offa Local Government Council over the execution of projects that positively impact the lives of people in the Council. The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata stated this during the inspections of capital projects executed by the Council, under the leadership of Hon. Olatunji Suleiman, the Executive Chairman. Ministry of Social Development, KW-IRS Conduct Monitoring, Evaluation and Enforcement on Creche Registration Compliance

The Kwara State Ministry of Social Development, in collaboration with the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), has conducted a two-day Monitoring, Evaluation and Enforcement Exercise on Crèche Registration Compliance across the Ilorin metropolis. The exercise, which took place from June 23 to 24, 2026, was aimed at ensuring compliance with crèche registration requirements among schools and childcare centres providing services for children between the ages of 0 and 6 years. Speaking on the exercise, the Honourable Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam, PhD, stated that all operators of crèche facilities are required to register with the Ministry and renew their registration annually in accordance with the regulations.
