KWFRC Inspect Projects in Oke-Ero LG to Promote Fiscal Discipline
The Kwara State Fiscal Responsibility Commission (KWFRC) has inspected the ongoing and completed projects executed by the Oke-Ero Local Government Council as part of its statewide monitoring exercise aimed at promoting fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.
The Chairman of the Commission, Barr. Abubakar Othman with members of the Commission visited various project sites across the Local Government to assess the quality of the projects executed and to ensure compliance with the principles of fiscal responsibility.
Speaking during the inspection, Barr. Othman reaffirmed the Commission's commitment in ensuring that Government resources are prudently utilized for projects that directly improve the lives of the citizens.
Barr. Othman commended the Oke-Ero Local Government Chairman, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe, for embarking on people-oriented projects and encouraged the Council to sustain the momentum in delivering quality infrastructure and services to residents.
Hon. James welcomed the Commission and expressed his appreciation for the inspection exercise, describing it as a vital mechanism for strengthening accountability in public service. He assured the Commission of the Council's continued commitment to implementing projects that would bring meaningful development and improve the welfare of the citizens of Oke-Ero Local Government Area.
Projects inspected by the Commission include: renovation of Oke-Ero legislative complex at Iloffa, rehabilitation and grading of roads across the Local Government, extension of electricity low tension line at Imoji, Egosi-ile, Imode, supply and installation of 500kva transformer at Odo-Owa ward II, drilling of solar power motorized borehole at Odo-Owa ward I, Irepe Area at Iloffa, Erinmope, constructions of the Elekan of Ekan and Obajisun of Ayedun palace fence, supply and installation of solar panel street lights at Idofin-Odo-Ashe, Idofin Igbana, construction of Odo-Owa ward I health centre.
Other ongoing projects are construction of the vigilante's office at the Secretariat, renovation of the Police stations and vehicles at Ekan, Ayedun and Odo-Owa among others.
